Kyle Faulkner’s review published on Letterboxd:
The obtuse meaning, as Barthes would say (LB201: always open by namedropping a poststructuralist), is down to the over-enthused Keke Palmer taking out the trash of old jingo americana via cine-manifested gaping sky-ass, tossing cowboy to the winds, and hey good riddance. There's no gel at all, but still a perky revisionism going on here that I'll pay, some gestures toward animal exploitation in classicist teevee, but, and I know this is boxd anathema to say, you can miss me with those Spielo vibes.
Peele's best work, which is not actually saying that much.
