Although I'm not sure this will age as well as the other Tom Holland Spidey movies for me, it does make me appreciate all of the other movies after getting to revisit all of the heroes and villains of the past. As perhaps the biggest movie of 2021, it's a fitting representative for my big recap of the year in movies.

TÁR 2022
While this is neither an unserious film nor a comedy, this film is ultimately a slow burn of a joke. And I love that a major movie would have the confidence to do that. She Said 2022
I am an absolute sucker for these true stories of reporters tracking down a story. This works really well by never showing the actual assaults, but letting us get to know the people in the story. Ving Rhames finally gets a shot at a little spot to shine by showing that he is a bit of the heart of the team, while simultaneously showing his character’s technical expertise. I’m glad this movie doesn’t fall into being a sloppy romantic triangle around Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. This could really find its way getting bumped up to five stars for just the love of movies.

I didn’t realize it would be one of his straight thrillers like Mother or Memories of a Murder until I was walking up to the ticket counter and heard an old man with his grandson giving him…
