Carlo V’s review published on Letterboxd:
Brilliant deadpan comedy about a woman who gets kidnapped during a botched bank robbery and then spends the rest of the movie trying to find the suitcase with money that was lost in the Aokigahara mountains during the getaway. Yaguchi is a master of purpose and momentum, throwing a succession of roadblocks in her way that are both (movie) plausible and function as building blocks towards a bigger picture. All of this slightly offset by some really absurd gags that had me chuckling throughout. Brilliant.
