I haven’t seen a film like this in so, so long.

Absolutely incredible. I thought I could imagine how a film with this kind of subject matter would go, but I was wrong. There was no way to expect what you actually see in the film. I was bracing myself for scenes far more disturbing beyond what you actually experience when viewing the film. I was pleasantly surprised with where it went. It’s shocking at times while remaining grounded. I adore this film & I think I adore Christina Ricci as well. 

With a rewatch or two I think I can imagine this being a permanent favorite. Highly recommend this film, shot in a city I love, a city I know well!
