Bridgitte’s review published on Letterboxd:
There is so much I loved about this film! The film is beautifully shot - I loved the parallels between scenes, the numerous dresses Maggie Cheung wore, and especially the recurring rendition of "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas" by Nat King Cole playing in the background.
The intense focus on the main characters made the film that much more enthralling and I was always wondering how it would end.
One of the things I like best about non-English films is that they force me to give them my absolute attention due to the language barrier. Not only am I reading the subtitles, I am getting a peek at another culture.
