Daryl’s review published on Letterboxd:
All Quiet on the Western Front is a stunning piece of cinema, technically brilliant, with a haunting and a subtlety aggressive score. Incredibly bleak, whilst not feeling hugely unique in the story it’s trying to portray as it feels familiar. However, the tone is very eerie, and really compliments the message, and the cinematography is sensational. I wish I felt a little more emotionally attached to the characters which would have enhanced my viewing even further, but overall, I loved this film.
