🥊adrian’s review published on Letterboxd:
Sometimes on the nose, sometimes nuanced, always entertaining.
This picture takes the formula of a young man finding himself in a world that is reluctant to accept him as he is and turns it into a heartwarming and intelligent piece of work.
It is a tearjerking and cathartic experience that preaches a beautiful message and shows the education of two of Barack Obama’s foundational political beliefs: 1) almost no one is an original American. We all came here from somewhere else. 2) progress is a relay race.
That message motivated me to create a new list! See it here!
Also Anya Taylor-Joy is great and I need more movies with her, please.
