if network could be remade to reflect to the social media era, fail safe could be remade to reflect the bush era. idiosyncratic in its plot and terrifying throughout, it gets more and more scary how everyone is detached from humanity that it can almost be played for laughs but it isn’t, it’s over the top and fantastical but there’s an inkling of real unsettlement that this is not far off from our reality.
