Quinn Bailey’s review published on Letterboxd:
I’m not sure if this is just the benefit of low expectations talking, but I kinda liked this! Admittedly, I’m not sure it needs to exist, but the cast (ESPECIALLY Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover) manages to squeeze every ounce of charm they can out of this, and the general mood is just too zippy and fun to make me want to hold anything against it*. Guess I’m just a sucker for any kind of heist movie... or any kind of Star Wars movie. Take your pick.
*Except the end of that L3 subplot, which was just fucked up and creepy and makes everything with the Falcon feel kinda weird and uncomfortable now.
(Also I like the fact that the one terrible fighting game where the Empire tries to kill Luke by hiring one solitary martial artist is now officially canon. That’s some magnificent trolling right there.)
