After being crucified for so many years for not understanding references to this film, I finally got the opportunity to watch it.... in IMAX.
Hopefully it wasn’t an unorthodox move to go straight to the Final Cut as my first time, cause I really enjoyed this film. Totally agree that it’s taboo not to watch this before you die.

This is the first film I’ve seen of this director, and was honestly a neutral first impression. The pacing was so perfect in my opinion, I was afraid there was gonna be a 60 minute prelude before the initial ship takeoff. Literally made voyages from planet to planet and destination to home feel like 5 minutes. There were a number of scenes where Roy is needlessly narrating his emotions, though his actions and facial expressions do all the representing. Overall…
