Jordan Beaumont Anderson’s review published on Letterboxd:
I couldn't end my viewing of Michael Mann's tremendous filmography with something as limp as The Keep, so I watched Manhunter for about the 15th time.
The best Lecter film by a significant margin, likely because Lecter himself appears in so little of it. He drops in a handful of times, like a Greek chorus in the background, singing a song of death and despair from behind pillars.
A brooding, nihilistic, achingly romantic look at the extremity to which humans will go to feel loved.
