Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

I’ve heard people call this movie “mindless entertainment” but there was nothing entertaining about Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.

  • Everybody Knows

    Everybody Knows

well directed and superbly acted but the script was basically a telenovela.

  • Aladdin

went in expecting absolutely nothing, left really really entertained. great musical scores. leads were charismatic. will smith’s best role in like forever. appreciated all the updates from the original. the only caucasian in the whole movie gets eaten by a tiger. naomi scott sang her ass off. but most importantly my mom was *thoroughly* satisfied.

guess there’s just nothing I can point out as a flaw. really shocked at just how much I enjoyed it.

  • Midsommar

Second viewing. Watching it from the perspective of the Swedes added lots of new layers to the film (like watching Get Out from the POV of the Armitages). It may be more predictable than Hereditary, but I get the sense that Ari Aster’s intention wasn’t to create the most twisty plot but rather to focus heavily on Dani’s emotional arc. Overall the movie is still unique, haunting, and break up with your boyfriend.

    The Hateful Eight

the Netflix extended addition gave me a whole lot more of characters bantering, which was the best part of the movie. I think it’s worth the 200minute runtime.

    A Hard Day

One of my personal favorite korean movies, and one of my favorite thrillers of all time. Tight script, great performances, scary fucking villain, smart set pieces, etc etc etc whatever just watch it don’t be scared of subtitles you cowards it’s on Kanopy.
