    I Care a Lot

Manipulative, interesting, and unique in it's execution, I Care a Lot is a dark comedy and commentary on capitalism. The film does a fantastic job showing how far individuals are willing to go for profit in a capitalist system. However, we didn't really get to see the consequence of many actions that took place throughout the film which left me feeling unsatisfied by the ending.

I Care a Lot has been divisive with a 36% audience score and a 80%…

Ever since I watched Seven Samurai, which was my first Kurosawa film, I fell in love in his work. There's something about the way he creates his films that really resonates with me.

Sometimes when I sit to watch a movie it can be really difficult to focus. Sometimes I start to feel depressed and anxious, the feeling of melancholy starts to go through my entire body and I'm unable to enjoy myself. I frequently pause movies and I struggle…

    The Mole Agent

I really loved every moment of The Mole Agent.

In the beginning, this documentary is about an elderly man who's hired by a private investigator to sign himself into a retirement home to witness the treatment of a woman at the retirement home.

It's quickly apparent that there's so much more to this documentary when The Mole Agent takes a quick turn and becomes a character study about the loneliness and neglectance that individuals feels at a retirement home.

Another Round was a ton of fun.

It's really refreshing to see a non-American take on this type of story. The handling of drinking, alcoholism, and desire were very unique and refreshing compared to other films of the same genre. Each of the four main characters had unique stories and were effected by the journey differently. Also, the bromance here was real. The chemistry between these characters is phenomenal.

I also love the realistic, grounded and simplistic cinematography style, it…

    King Kong

Film nine of my Godzilla vs Kong marathon.
    (Team Kong all the way)

I have mixed feelings on this one. I want to love this because it's Peter Jackson, but there are so many problems with this movie. You can really see Jacksons passion for the original film, even though it lead to a few awkward references that felt out of place. King Kong also came at a strange time in Jackson's career. It was released between the beloved LOTR…

    Sound of Metal

I'm finally catching up on some of this year's Oscar Nominees and Sound of Metal marked a great start for my journey.

I won't be addressing many of the controversy's around this film in my review. However, I highly recommend that anyone who reads my review also checks out some reviews from the deaf community on letterboxd. I loved reading everything you all wrote and I thank you all for sharing your experiences with this film. Lots of your words…
