Brian Faxon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Tight direction. Clever script. Believable and sympathetic characters. Who would’ve believed Reitman could’ve pulled this off?
Up in the Air is a film that takes off with its concept and never looks back. It’s incredibly resonant, releasing in 2009 right around the time of market crash. But it’s not just social commentary. It has great story to accompany it.
This film develops its characters incredibly well and never loses sight of its central themes. It’s edited very well, quick paced, and really devoid of any major flaws that I can see.
Clooney offers up a fantastic performance here. Check this one out on Netflix!
