Madeline's Madeline ★★★½

Somehow MADELINE'S MADELINE aces not just those mundane moments we absorb instantaneously because we want our archive to have good feelings as a majority. It also uses its own revolutionary method to bequeath to us how that mechanism in our brains is always able to push aside anything that would make those feelings good by, demonstrated in the movie by experimental edits and specifics that are focused on, total inner doubt and scrutiny.

It's almost comforting to perceive a day as someone else because the fact that we can't totally see inside others leaves the surface as simple and superficial as it is and when we think about the legion of contradictions that we are we're left with the hallucinogenic montage that fails to summarize it all.
