  i just rewatched this and i feel really disturbed...
  i initially loved the incredible mother nature / biblical metaphor behind the film; however, rewatching those last 40 minutes made me feel so uneasy. it is a psychological film, i know you’re supposed to feel disturbed by the message, but most of the violence was so uncalled for ESPECIALLY THE DEATH OF A NEWBORN and the degradation toward Jennifer’s character. looking past how much I dislike Jennifer Lawerence, the only words I can…
