been a while since i watched something that seemed this close to real life. very on the edge about this one for how realistic this was, atleast in my experience.
though เฎคเฎฒเฏˆเฎ•เฏเฎ•เฏ‚เฎคเฏเฎคเฎฒเฏ may not be something that's practiced among most of us, the reason why baaram works is bc it goes beyond Karuppasamy's fate with its close to life dialogues and reactions we've all seen from people when faced with the, usually sudden, task of caregiving for an elder. iโ€ฆ

Nick, you're making me forget the Kaddish!

Watched this with a friend who mentioned this had a troubled production; poor lighting, loss of footage and an over-exhausted budget.
This is my first Elaine May movie but I can tell how much of this was influenced by the man that dominated the screen throughout the movie.
Wasn't living for the rape scene, which I felt wasn't tactful enough, idk, I might be wrong, else I'd have have given this five stars.
Sleek editing and photography, seamless dialogues; felt like there were parts improvised that were smoothly buttressed with the chemistry between Peter Falk and Cassavetes. Dudes rock.
