Without a doubt I think that this rare gem will warm the coldest heart, emphatize the most frozen soul and make the blundest character shiver with tears. If not… you are lost forever 🖤

A charming but troubled author leads the viewer along a barrage of romantic escapades in an attempt to regain previous losses. While writing erotic tales, he bases his fictional protagonists on the different women he encounters.
Kar Wai proves again that he has mastered the art of picturing raw desire in a cinematographical style that is unique, highly stylized and with deeply saturated colours. Wong Kar Wai is the King of the hill in this genre and any attempt to remove him from the throne will be in vain.

A big tasting cake made out of layers of:
    stupidity and genius
    adversity and prosperity
    cloudiness and clarity
    loneliness and friendship
    defeat and victory...
covered with a sugar coated Anya Taylor-Joy on top!

WHMS made me cry from laughing and laughing from crying. How is it possible that I missed this movie for all those years? Ok, back in 1989 I wasn't yet ready for a romantic flick, because that's what the title implies. But it is so much more, so funny, so painful, so ackward and realistic. If I was Billy Cristal in those days, I wouldn't be able to say all those witty, self-confident things to Meg Ryan. Not during acting…
