a few minutes into the film, in one of its opening sequences, we’re greeted by an aspin scouring the ground for food and edgar (john lloyd cruz) proceeding to throw leftover food to it, which the dog devoured hungrily within seconds. of course, director erik matti did not include that scene for nothing.…
