I can't help but like this movie. Yes, the story and characters suck, but I am such a sucker for Refn's style that it does not matter.
I love his use of color and the barrage of beautiful shots. Couple that with fantastic editing and music to die for, and it makes his movies surreal audio visual experiences that I don't really get from any other filmmaker. Because of that unique experience, I can't really complain. On a basic level, I just really enjoy what Refn does.
Don't ask me what the fuck happened in this movie though because I have no idea.
