Cineworld The Gate, Newcastle
Never becomes silly bollocks until right at the very end, which is impressive given the premise, but never fully lives up to its uncanny valley, horror potential. Not sure it ever decides whether it wants to be an environmental parable, or an atmospheric piece, or straight up horror. And nothing annoys me more in movies than people drinking obviously fake coffee and other hot drinks. Still I rate Icelandic Gerard Butler and Icelandic Noomi Rapace and the weird sheep-girl as a family unit, though.
I would recommend streaming M Night’s Servant on Apple TV+ instead of this. Similar concept, much better execution.
