Movie 25 in my October 2019 horror marathon.
And fifth movie in the New Roommate Movie Night series. This time Cullen's choice was pulled out of the hat.
On first viewing I said that this sometimes feels like a bad movie and sometimes feels like a masterpiece. I still absolutely get why I said that, the acting, particularly Heather Langenkamp, is overwhelmingly atrocious, but on second watch I lean much closer to it being a masterpiece because it's just such an iconic image machine. From this to this, oh and also this, and my favorite of them all, this.
All of that makes it a bit hard to hold the rather minor complaint of bad acting against it. Though I do also hold the dumb ending against it, which honestly is likely what holds it back more than the acting for me.
