Classic Universal Monster Movie Binge #5
The Bride of Frankenstein is one of the first horror sequels ever made and a mighty good one at that I might add.
The film picks up right where the first one left off but not only continues the story but expands on the themes of man playing with god.
Colin Clive reprises his role as Doctor Frankenstein, only this time he is more developed showing that he is wiser learning from his mistakes of the past.
Boris Karloff returns as the monster only this time he gets to do much and including speaking. The costume for the monster also looks much better than the last film.
And of course Elsa Lanchester as the bride.
Years later and The Bride of Frankenstein is one of the best horror sequels of all time.
