Robert Delany’s review published on Letterboxd:
I mean, is this really what people want out of a super hero film? I haven't kept up on the 2000 Marvel movies that have been released in the past few years, but if this is one of the good ones then I don't know what to say.
The twist about the villain is ruined immediately if you've read Marvel comic books. Do fans of the Marvel movies not actually read the comics and are just blindly surprised all the time by these bogus twists?
And finally, if the filmmakers behind this movie think that the message of this film is clever, the whole Mysterio representing the hollowness of mainstream media thing, then again, I'm speechless.
Overall, was about to fall asleep in the theater.
