    An interesting and beautifully formed look at that mid-teens disillusionment that I think practically everybody experiences to some degree, but Jaylin Webb’s Johnny feels terribly underwritten (and under explored) to me in a way that doesn’t sit right considering that the ideas surrounding his character build up much of the film’s central theme. Hopkins, Hathaway and Khondji (who I’m really enjoying lately in particular) are doing great work here regardless. 

    Also Gray’s first digitally-shot movie! Even if it was due to circumstance rather than choice. Also wondering how this will look in comparison to the Fablemans whenever that becomes available in the UK.
