Estéban Rōdriguez’s review published on Letterboxd:
A bleak and raw experience with the horror of violence that also feels like a complete saga with its collection of characters placed in a long stretch of time. To me what this movie is about is right in the title. Despite belief that God is always watching and protecting, The Devil is also manipulating the minds of many all the time. The thoughts of unimaginable suffering in the name of whatever twisted tale they probably say every day. And this is all elevated by amazing performances, great direction, and a memorable score. I don’t know when I’ll revisit this series of horrid events, but it will stick with me for a while now.
