Ryan Francis’s review published on Letterboxd:
I loved Spring Breakers up until the ending on my first viewing. I thought that it was quite over-the-top and I guess it kind of ruined everything for me that came before. But after watching director Harmony Korine explain why he chose to do that in the Blu-ray special features, and now just watching it for my second time, it didn't bother me nearly as much. I accepted it and enjoyed the film itself a whole lot more, especially because everything else about it is great. It looks amazing, and I feel that James Franco immerses himself in the role of 'Alien' and gives a mesmerizing performance. It's an unforgettable experience and now I'm definitely going to pursue watching more of Korine's films (probably starting with Gummo).
