It’s fine. There’s some fun stuff and then there’s a lot more stuff that doesn’t make sense plot-wise, and avenues that could’ve been explored that just aren’t. Motivation of the antagonists is…something to be desired. Feels first drafty.
Love post-credit scenes that tease more interesting films than what I just saw (and are unlikely to happen) lol.
Having seen Walk Hard long before I saw this made it hard to take completely seriously. Phoenix and Witherspoon are really good, though I feel the real-life individuals were largely reduced to cliches.
Creed in three! Another knockout entry in the Creed franchise. Michael B. Jordan makes an exciting directorial debut and showcases he has just as big of a future behind the camera as in front of it. Man really showcases his anime influences and skills he picked up from Coogler. Jonathan Majors delivers frightening intensity and magnetism, once again proving he’s one of the most exciting actors to emerge in the past few years.
Could’ve used another 20 minutes or so…
