Malignant

Malignant

It’s hard to comprehend Wan’s Malignant because it’s impossible to understand if it’s a joke or not: A narrative so contrived you wonder how it was even approved that spirals out of control by the end, all with abysmal acting that, you’d think, Wan has the ability to not let this get so out of hand in his own production. With Warner’s decision to be the filmmaker’s studio, this is another in the quickly becoming long line of examples of the detrimental effects of giving filmmakers free rein.
