Richard Gallon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Akira Kurosawa’s final epic is a sweeping masterpiece of cinema, recreating the ancient Japanese time period perfectly through use of the ancient castles and sweeping landscapes with a fantastic performance by Tatsuya Nakadai as the ageing warlord Hidetora caught up in his sons’ quest for more power from their father. An epic to be seen on the biggest screen possible to be fully realised.
