    "This isn't hell, it's Holland!"

I've been to Amsterdam many times but it was never to see the windmills lol. This is a well shot slasher but just kind of bland. Also has horror tropes I really dislike such as hallucination dream sequences and a lame supernatural angle (yawn).

"Manners from a cop I don't expect, but you abuse the privilege."

What an odd yet brilliant psychological thriller set in the swinging sixties New York . This one probably upset a few folk back in 1965 with its daring psychosexual subject matter. I wonder how much of an influence this had on other movies such as 'Taxi Driver' all the way to 'Maniac'.

What the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes. - Harry Houdini.

If someone had put this on and told me it was a newly discovered Umberto Lenzi film from Synapse. I would of probably believed them. This one really nails replicating the 70s Italian giallo. A lot of fun and probably more so if your a fan of the genre.

    "Sloth' from 'The Gonnies?"

Must admit I was not enjoying this one at first. Felt like just your standard modern supernatural shit. Then boom! it flips the switch and goes ridiculously bonkers. Turning into goofy popcorn b-movie horror fun. Really one just to turn your brain off and enjoy. Will be interested to see how this holds up on a re-watch in the future.
