Eric Trapp’s review published on Letterboxd:
This movie is mesmerizing. Amazing score, brilliantly composed and colored shots, incredibly intense, nuanced performances from all leads. Really can’t comprehend how much this feels like Murakami’s writing. How well it handles conveying that same ethereal atmosphere. This movie lives in its own world, with its own sense of time and its own way of speaking.
Watching this again has cemented it as a favorite of the decade.
