I remember an interview of M. Night describing his films and he said he would never consider them as horror, because horror has a destination that it’s headed to. He said his films are always designed to go through the horror and come out of it, on the other end. This does that well.
A few holes that I have questions about, but it has all the classic M. Night ingredients, so I can’t complain.

Solid entry in this series, which has been fantastic, but the weakest of the three. Just felt like a bit of a stretch on this one.
Definitely some weird stuff happening in the woods though.

A very well done found footage/mockumentary horror film. Reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project in a lot of ways, but it also becomes its own thing. I love any creepy mythology so I was into the story immediately. This was also filmed in my hometown of Baltimore, MD, so that also peaked my interest. Worth your time, and it has one of the best jumpscares I’ve seen in recent years.

Popped this in while doing my fantasy football draft last night. A very promising film that everyone expected to become the next great horror franchise, not sure what went wrong. Still, this slasher/creature feature pretty much has it all- a great villian, nice settings, perfect theme music and a very cool premise. I must admit that the creeper was much more terrifying in the beginning of the film when it was unclear exactly what it is. Hopefully part 3 gets made eventually.
