My personal choice for best movie of the year for each and every year, back to 1937 for now, because I haven’t seen a single movie from 1936. Speaking of, the further back you go, the fewer I’ve seen, so take everything before, say, 1975 with a few grains of salt. I’ll update this as my favorites change. I’m excluding documentaries because I’ll probably end up doing a separate list for those.
