i've spent the last two and a half weeks eagerly and anxiously waiting to see this movie again. going into it a second time, i was a bit worried. what if i hyped it up so much for myself, what if it didn't live up to what it was the first time?
thankfully, that wasn't the case.
not only did this live up to my own expectations, it was even better the second time. i didn't think it was possible but here we go. there's so much that i didn't notice the first time i watched this that watching it this time i caught and was able to appreciate the movie so much more this time. the look that elio gives oliver when they're drunk... i could feel my heart swelling and breaking.
i know that daniel day lewis or gary oldman will probably win the oscar but timothee truly deserves it.
i could go on and on about this but i can't gather my thoughts right now but i'll just leave it at this: call my by your name is such a good fucking movie, and i'm so blessed to be able to see it.
