A beautiful movie to watch. A lot of dropped plot lines and blink-and-they're-gone characters make the story feel shallow, but fun to watch and reverse-engineering how Deakins shot it. Made me wish I was rewatching Dunkirk- different war, but similar feelings without falling into Spielberg-ian schmaltz.

If you can't handle me at my Jo March, you don't deserve me at my Meg.

Cute and fun, little heartbreaking. Beautiful settings, soundtrack's a little heavy-handed.
A nice modern day look at early publishing (that bookbinding sequence 👌), I think the ending is changed to reflect, but probably not about to pick up the book to check.

Edge of your seat schadenfreude. Howie is a manic, and you know his time is running out, but exactly how is a blast. I like this film almost as much as Kevin Garnett likes opals, apparently.

  • Anesthesia

"strangers whose lives come together in cataclysmic circumstances" is a synopsis I'm kinda done with.

But I still like Tim Blake Nelson.

Oof. Adam driver can act, relationships will always be complicated, and it's time for randy Newman to retire.
