Get on this Criterion, I need to rewatch it several times

This movie would be so much better if their second meeting wasn’t an attempted rape. Jong-du didn’t need the other convictions beyond manslaughter for his character, especially not such violent ones, which only get exasterbated when he attacks a woman just to use her cell phone. The rest of the movie is so good but these details just sour the whole thing.

-Never seen Scarlett Johannson look so happy to be doing a non marvel role
-Sam Rockwell has graduated from being typecast as a racist hick to a full blown nazi (but he’s a nice???)
-Nice to see Stephen Merchant’s height to be emphasized so effectively
-Alfie Allen’s comedic performance is really great but will probably go under appreciated

    Watch Inherent Vice instead.

This movie fails at everything it tries to do because it is immature ugly. It complains about a cruel and uncaring society yet repeatedly makes fun of a little person solely as a joke. Marc Maron, among the litany of great actors who appear in this movie for one or two scenes, knows that Todd Phillips has…
