Rod Sedgwick’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film is pure cinematic vision, both an ode to the art form as well as a defiance of its very tradition of narrative structure and form. Leos Carax could well be as imaginative and insanely brilliant as David Lynch, yet distilling his art at a completely different rhythm. Although not a film for the casual film watcher, the cinephiles amongst us will be entranced, mesmerised and overflowing with praise for such a bold and unique vision. Brilliantly insane!
