Romario De la Rosa’s review published on Letterboxd:
In the end, I enjoyed the film; it's far from the worst Marvel film, it's not flawless, and it has faults, but the ambition of the film and how different it seems truly won me over.
On the plus side, I like how visually appealing the film is; the shots of the landscapes and the cosmic aspects are particularly outstanding; I also appreciate the various silent moments characteristic of Chole Zhao filmmaking; I liked the characters, though I would have liked to know more about them and how different conflicts and ideologies existed within them; and I liked the story's twist.
On the negative side, I would emphasize that the film is occasionally overly ambitious for its own good; there are so many concepts, characters, settings, and eras introduced that the picture feels cluttered. As a result, the second act drags a lot and we don't get to know the characters well enough.
