Romario De la Rosa’s review published on Letterboxd:
No one told me that Lady Bird was the unofficial prequel to this film.
Really a beautiful portrait of how difficult it is to become an adult and not really know what direction you want for your life. Plus the bonding and connection you create along the way with other people.
One of the things that fascinates me most about Baumbach and Gerwig's films is their dialogue, they write to people in such a real way that although sometimes it may seem a bit exaggerated, you always end up thinking you know someone like that in real life.
I found the cinematography really beautiful and the black and white shots give the film a classic feel which contrasts beautifully with the modernity of the characters and the era.
