Romario De la Rosa’s review published on Letterboxd:
Charlie Kaufman made the most Charlie Kaufman movie ever. Now i'm gonna be depressed all the week.
If i had to describe I’m Thinking of Ending Things, i would said that like a weird child of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Synecdoche, New York and if you like both of that movies, specially Synecdoche probably you would like this movie too. Thankfully i really love both movies and i really like this on too.
At first i really didn't know what to think about the movie, i didn't really know what was happening, but that is something really common in Kaufman's work. At the moment of the realization of what is really happening, i truly appreciated the brilliance of the movie.
This movie is an incredible work all around, the acting, the score, and the cinematography are superb. The themes of time, love, loneliness and death are explore so incredibly well. Not a movie for everyone but if you are looking for something really compelling and deep this movie is for you.
