Romario De la Rosa’s review published on Letterboxd:
Sunset Boulevard probably has one of the best scripts in Hollywood history. It's the kind of movie that you fall in love with more and more often when you read about it.
As in part it portrays what happened to many actors in the era of silent films which fell into oblivion when they went out of production. This is perfectly portrayed by the wonderful Gloria Swanson who had the same fate.
Swanson as Norma Desmond is probably one of the best performances in the history of cinema, as she creates a character who lives for the memory of her glorious past and desperately seeks to return to it, to the point of madness.
