really good "small comedy" all over this thing, and it takes advantage of its weirdly unique, but universally relatable premise in specific bits and ideas. the phone calls to mom are maybe the strongest dramatic efforts at play here. otherwise, this unfortunately did not bring it home for me. that second ending is confounding to me. but i'm glad a lot of folks like it and its sweet little heart!

A fountain of heartbreaking and hilarious details. A modest and tender little drama. The set up of all the ensemble players had me a little hesitant, but once the thing was in motion, it all unfolds very elegantly.
