History is funny. Jason's hockey mask is one of the most iconic pieces of pop culture history and it's not even introduced until an hour into the third movie of the franchise.

Having said that Saturday the 14th is one of the best most watchable background movies of all-time. You can clean up, study, do whatever and just listen for the music cues that tell you when it's time to pay attention. And the final 35 minutes is right up there with the best in the series. This also has the best female characters/performers in the series.
