I think I finally get Radiohead.
“I’d rather fail with you than win with somebody else” is literally a line in this movie, so let us not pretend that’s it’s not a romantic comedy in the great tradition.
But it does feel different. Maybe new. Maybe just not tired. Or self referential and mocking.
I liked it and recommend it to you.
I do however agree with this review - a sequel starring Xander and Naomi is something I’d definitely get up for.
The rise and demise of The Police as told through the lense of Andy Summers, the guitarist and probably lesser known of the three band members.
This is the sort of documentary that I could watch all day and all night and into the early hours of the morning and contemplate rewatching the next day.
The story of his relationship with his wife and family, which is woven through, is heartbreaking.
I'd like to see more of his photography. What an awesome record and memory. I imagine him getting lost in that archive for days.
