Kevin Royal Johnson’s review published on Letterboxd:
As other reviews have stated, the touchstone of this zero-budget wonder is Herschell Gordon Lewis. But the production values instilled are a bit more ambitious (if less creative), including a sort of fascinating subplot about a cop with bad habits but a heart of gold, and a 1978 Mardi Gras location shoot to beat the band. Plus a car gets pulled out the water by a crane.
Also with an sort of autistic repetition that I found weirdly compelling.
