Raul Marques’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well, it is a Will Ferrell Netflix comedy about Eurovision, anyone that clicked it expecting something much different is lying to theirselves. Of course that doesn't excuse the mediocrity, with the all too predictable beats, the dragged out gags and perhaps some hesitation in actually utilizing the setting to go full Zoolander/Talladega-Nights garish, campy satire, but at least it set up the needed lowered expectations. At first the terrible font made me think it'd be a mockumentary and I just couldn't stop thinking about a 'Best in Show' version of this, yet it's amusing anyway. I know that sounds like the least enthusiastic praise of all time, but I really had a surprisingly good time. Naturally, McAdams did the heavy lifting, but Stevens is also quite entertaining and I appreciate the Salvador Sobral solo.
