"Anti-hate" dramedy that really thinks it's making a point by letting objectively bad people off the hook, while simultaneously being remarkably charming and occasionally sincerely moving. So, it's kind of like 'Green Book' all over again, only with better filmmaking and (despite what Waititi seems to believe) just slightly less tame. The kid, McKenzie and ScarJo are great, and the movie as a whole, moment-to-moment, is indeed almost always enjoyably ingenious, but thinking about it can only make it worse.
