A film so grand in scope and rich in its dreamlike storytelling, in which Dennis Villeneuve is able to elevate an already thoughtful material with his vision. A scene isn't just a scene, it's an event with methodical build-up to it and Dennis achieves this without losing the intimate sensibilities. The cinematography is so boldly uncommon for a film like this one, yet it is fitting to the shadowy and vulnerable universe. Pretty faithful, yet the subtle changes allow this to be a unique self-discovery film. Dennis Villeneuve has done it once again.

    The Batman

An iteration that leans hard to film noir, from the broody narration to the intricate plotting and to the high-level corruption, delivering a full-on procedural. Some interesting ideas regarding nature, nurture and how their differences ultimately shape you, but the execution is never as promising as the thematic core suggests.

In a time where superhero films have almost become their own genre and have transcended the superhero bubble to say something about the world and have even been elevated to philosophical status, MORBIUS simply wants to take you back to a time when this kind of film was disposable schlock. This is the most basic kind of film you can think of. Generic origin storyline and superficial conflict. And love him or hate him, Jared Leto always brings something peculiar to his performances but that is not the case here.

    Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Not sure if Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the best action flick since Fury Road, but is still pretty damn good. After 5 movies it's really refreshing to see Ethan dealing with the consequences of previous missions, as that only elevates the stakes. It's a movie with gorgeous cinematography, with incredible stunts and an amazing supporting cast, as everyone brings something to the table. Vanessa Kirby and Henry Cavill are great additions to the cast. Michelle Monaghan comes back to…
