A really savory mashup of KILL LIST and Kurosawa’s CURE, right up until the injection of American horror sensibilities in the film’s climax (and the climax of other suspenseful scenes), where everything has to be literalized into CGI, weak jump scares, and clarifying dialogue. Super cool sound design throughout.
